Obituary

On Sunday, October 24, 2021 Roberta (Bobbie) Swentko, Bixman passed away at the age of 62. She joined her daughter Reshea’ McCoy in heaven on what would have been Reshea’s 42 birthday. She also joined her father Robert Swentko in heaven.

Roberta grew up in Highland, Indiana most recently residing in New Smyrna Beach , Florida. While in Highland, Roberta attended Bishop Noll and Highland High School. Her first job was at Ramono’s in Highland where she designed the logo that they still use today. She also loved working at Walt’s for several years and was a wonderful caregiver for Jeanette Smith.

Roberta loved living in Florida, going to the beach and traveling with her friend Debbie. She loved cats and kittens. Her favorite thing to do was to take in strays and take care of them. The lucky cats that got to be loved by Roberta were named Boo Boo, Blacky, Sadie Mae, Annie Mae, Daisey Mae, Sweat Pea and Bo Bo. She had a loving spirit about her and was a creative artist. She had an infectious laugh and could always make you smile by answering the phone and saying “Yeah!”.

Roberta is survived by her mother Barbara Swentko, sisters, Brenda Pietrzycki, Deanie (Eric) Adams, Beth (Randy) Richardson, grandchildren, ShaiAnn Shanks, Mac McCoy, Tyler McCoy, 13 nieces and nephews, her loving Boyfriend Davy Herrold and loving friends Debbie Smith and Shirly Czerniawski.

Friends and family are welcome for dinner to celebrate Roberta (Bobbie’s) life on Friday, December 10, 2021 from 6-9 pm at Langel’s Pizza 2811 Highway Ave, Highland, IN 46322.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to the family for future educational pursuits for Roberta’s grandchildren.

    Our deepest condolences to you all. At one time she was my best friend and I have many great memories of our adventures, late night talks and she could always make me smile. She will be missed
