Obituary
Robin Carol Parent, age 68, passed away in Florida on Monday, September 6th due to heart complications.
Robin was born to Carol Wilson and Ernest Edmondson on March 10, 1953, in Stamford, CT. She attended Stamford schools graduating from Stamford High School in 1971. While working at Stop and Shop Robin met Jean-Pierre Parent, the love of her life. The two were married in 1973 and moved to Norwalk. They welcomed daughter Michelle Carol a few years later. They were then blessed with daughters Kelli Marie and Joyce Priscilla. Being a mother was the most important role for Robin.
The family moved to Trumbull in 1984, a place Robin was proud to call home. Robin was involved in Trumbull public schools volunteering for class activities and the PTA. Trumbull was also a place where Robin and Jean made many dear friends. They enjoyed socializing, playing cards, and spending time with family.
In 1999 Robin took on a role that she loved almost as much as motherhood: being a Grandma.
Robin doted on her granddaughter Christina. Christina was followed by three grandsons: Brendan, Mason, and Marshall. Robin loved watching her grandchildren and taking them on adventures.
Robin worked as an office manager for an ophthalmology practice in Fairfield, CT until her retirement in 2019. After retirement, Robin and Jean moved from CT to Saint Augustine, FL. Robin loved helping out at Mason’s school just as much as she did when her girls were young. She enjoyed her new card group and loved learning new games just as much as playing them. Most recently she enjoyed water aerobics and loved meeting new people.
Robin is survived by her husband Jean-Pierre Parent; daughters and sons-in-law; Michelle and Michael Tomlin, Kelli and Brian Middendorf, and Joyce Parent. Grandchildren; Christina Middendorf, Brendan Middendorf, Mason Parent, and Marshall Tomlin; Sisters and brothers-in-law; Ann and Henry Bova, Linda Wilson, Kathy Kalaitzidis and Tom Trombetto, Noella and Jim English. Many nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held by the family. Please celebrate Robin’s life by donating to a charity of your choice, in her name.
