Obituary

A celebration of life for Roger A. Inskip, 77, of New Smyrna Beach, will be held in the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church, New Smyrna Beach, Florida, on Saturday, Aug. 11th at 11 am. Mr. Inskip, went home to be with his Lord on Aug 7th. He served in many capacities at First Baptist Church since joining in 1976; Deacon Chairman, Church Treasurer, Sunday School Director & Teacher, Pastoral Search Committee and many other committees over the years. He spent 20 years at the Kennedy Space Center, owned Florida Awning Co., and was a residential contractor until 2005. He is preceded by his wife of 55 years Mary Jane (2011) and is survived by his sons, Paul (Pam) of Spartanburg, SC and Ken of New Smyrna; grandson, Bret of Clemson, SC; and grand-daughters, Jaime of Columbia, SC and Elise of New Smyrna Beach. He also leaves a sister, Alice, of Franklinville, NY; and several nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Freedom Campaign. A celebration of life for Roger A. Inskip, 77, of New Smyrna Beach, will be held in the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church, New Smyrna Beach, Florida, on Saturday, Aug. 11th at 11 am.

    New Smyrna Beach Police - To the Inskip Family, I was saddened by the death of Roger when I responded to his residence that early morning. But, I can take comfort that his was a life well lived and his reward in Heaven is assured!! May God be with you and comfort you during this difficult time.
