Obituary
Roger D. Holm went to his heavenly home on Saturday, October 22 with his family at his side. He was born in Rockford, Illinois on May3, 1955 to Donald and Edith Holm, the second of four children. He attended school in Rockford and enlisted in the United States Navy during the Viet Nam conflict. He was trained as a machinist and assigned to the Sea Bees. He later moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he raised two daughters, Gillian and Celena.
He relocated to Florida in 2000 while employed by Sea Ray Boats to be closer to his parents. He remarried in 2003 to Mary L. B. Holm, who survives. He retired in 2021 at the height of the pandemic. Roger loved fast cars, loud music, enjoying life to its fullest, and the Chicago Bears. He is missed dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Mary of DeLand, FL, daughters Gillian (Michael) Pierce of Glendale, AZ, Celena Holm of Glendale AZ, Angela Reaves of Paducah, KY, and foster-daughter Sheeah Savage of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by his mother Edith Holm of Summerfield, FL, sisters Linda Holm of Summerfield, FL, Susan (Benny) Hutchison of Winnebago, IL, and one brother, Curtis (Michelle) Holm of Summerfield, FL. Four granddaughters, Clarice (Jonathan) Deliefde, Isla Wallace, Avery Wallace, and Summer Rayne Pierce are also left behind by their dear PawPaw. He also leaves behind one great-granddaughter, Eliza Deliefde, and his constant companions, Jazmyn, Izzy, Suzie, and Ralff.
A Celebration of Life with Burial Rites with be held on November 27, 2022 at 5 PM at the Whisperwood Clubhouse, 3070 Whisper Blvd, DeLand, FL.
A reception for family and friends will follow. Internment and Viking Funeral arrangements will be held at a later date.

I never got the chance to say I love you, I never got the chance to say I'll miss you. Nobody told me that you were going to die, it hurts, I never said Good-Bye.
Where are you now, please talk to me, show yourself and let me see. I know that can't happen no matter how much I try, All I wanted to do is say Good-Bye.
I hope that you are happy wherever you are, I have you in my heart no matter how far. To the heavens above, I wish I could fly, only to give you a warm Good-Bye.
I will remember you each day that I live, you were such a good person with so much to give. Such a privilege to have known you, no one can deny, I think it might be time to say Good-Bye.
I will keep with me the good times that we shared, I want you to know just how much I really cared. Till we meet again, on God we must rely, I love you, I miss you and for now, Good-Bye.

Thanks for the memories! The camping days with mom and dad, Sue and Ben, Linda and Curt. I miss those times, we had fun! Thank you too for the beautiful daughters you gave me and the beautiful grand daughters we got from Gillian! Thank God they are good girls and very smart too!It was great to see you at Rayne’s graduation in May! Thanks for the hug too! I will always laugh when I think of when you came into the room wearing those swim trunks the same color as your tan and Rhonda was there! She turned almost as red as your Torino! RIP my first love.
