Ron Symons, 71, of Ocala, FL, passed away May 31, 2015. He was born on July 26, 1943 in Newark, NJ to Walter and Eva Symons. Ron proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked for IBM in administration in Newark, New York and Atlanta. He was raised in North Arlington, NJ, and later contributed to the community through the DARE program and coaching Biddy Basketball. Ron enjoyed retirement and loved playing golf, cruising with friends and family and visiting Disney World. He also loved dogs, especially his companions, Morgan, Scooter and Holly. Ron leaves behind his wife, Barbara, Ocala, FL; sons, Michael (Lisa) Symons, Ringoes, NJ and Greg (Cassie) Symons, Wantage, NJ; daughter, Katie Symons, Jacksonville, FL; brother, Walter Symons, Panama City, FL; sister, Margaret "Peg" (Harold) Kovac, Ocala, FL; grandchildren, Lauren, Audrey, Connor, Kevin & Abigail; a niece and several nephews. Ron is preceded in death by his sister in law, Helen Symons.
