Ronald G. Rapp, born July 7, 1936 in Lansing Michigan to Louis N and K Arlene Rapp, passed away January 7, 2023 at the Villages Hospital. After high school Ron joined FW Woolworth company’s management training program and retired 42 years of service. Ron and Dona F (Arthur) married July 7, 1957 and she survives him along with his sister Myra J Ford of Lansing Michigan, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother, Gerald D Rapp. Ron professed salvation at New Home Missionary Baptist Church in Lansing Michigan where he served as a Sunday school teacher, Treasurer and Deacon. He was an avid and fervent student of Scriptures and committed to prayer. The two of them shared music, art, travel, sports and spending time with friends and family. Holidays were special events. Ron was a benevolent individual and passionate about cancer research. He and Dona founded the Rapp family hematology research fund (315807) at Ohio State University and are benefactors at Mayo Clinic. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of the Villages, Mayo Clinic Foundation, or the Rapp Family Hematology Research Fund (315807). Memorial Services are scheduled at First Baptist Church of the Villages on Thursday January 26, 2023 at 4:30 PM under the charge of Pastor Bob Perry.
