In Celebration Ronald J Doherty, 71, St John, Virgin Islands who died Tuesday, January 5, 2010 will be held at Hospice of Volusia Southeast Care Center Edgewater FL and also at Sputnik’s in St John, VI and Skinny’s in Coral Bay. Ronald was born in Winthrop, Massachusetts. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He worked and retired as an owner and entrepreneur in the electronics industry. His family remembers him as a humanitarian, always looking for opportunities to help other people better their lives. He loved people, was very well read and cherished the time he spent sitting and talking with his family and friends. He is held in loving memory by his wife of 50 years Jean, children Chip and Rene’ Doherty of Bethune Beach, FL, Brian and Nancy Doherty of Chelmsford, MA, Lori Doherty Francis of St John, VI, Mark S Doherty of St John, VI and, grandchildren Jillian Ann Doherty, Julie Rae Doherty, Sean Kenneth Doherty, Jonathen Doherty, Chelsea Doherty, Joseph Doherty, Aspen Doherty Moore, Lily Margo Francis and his Island Brother George. 4:00 PM Friday, January 8 at the Hospice of Volusia Southeast Care Center 4140 Ridgewood Avvenue Edgewater FL
