It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Ronald Paul Johnson. He was born in 1939 in Alburtis, Pennsylvania. He was married to Mary Jane (Kline) Johnson on November 23, 1963. They were married for 61 years until he peacefully passed away on October 8, 2024, in Fort Myers, Florida. He was 85 years old.

Ronald graduated from Emmaus High School and attended Penn State University before transferring to Kutztown University where he received a bachelor’s degree in education. He later received a master’s degree from Lehigh University and spent his entire teaching career at the Whitehall-Coplay School district in Pennsylvania. He also managed several local movie and drive-in theaters in the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania, including the Boulevard Drive-In and Colonial Theatre.
He was an active member of the Corry Game Club hunting camp and enjoyed playing cards, bingo and scrabble.
He is survived by his wife Mary Jane, his daughter Beth Ann Ritter and husband Craig Ritter, his son Douglas Paul Johnson and wife Michelle Johnson and four grandchildren, Kylie and Taylor Johnson and Shane and Jacob Steckel.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking that donations be sent to Vitas, 12751 Westlinks Dr, Ft Myers, Florida 33913. A celebration of life for immediate family and close friends will be forthcoming.
