Obituary for Rose Ann Fitzgerald
It is with great love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Rose Ann Fitzgerald, of Lakeland, Florida, who departed this life peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 1:50 p.m. surrounded by her family.
Rose Ann was the beloved wife of Barry Fitzgerald and the devoted mother to Stacy Fitzgerald and Sean and his wife Kimberly Fitzgerald. Her greatest joy came from being “Grandma” to her cherished grandchildren — Sophia and Dominick Pavia, and Emily, Liam, and Madeline Fitzgerald — each of whom brought her endless pride and happiness. Rose Ann’s warmth, compassion, and kindness touched everyone who knew her. She will be remembered for her generous heart, her bright smile, and her unwavering love for her family and friends.
A celebration of Rose Ann’s life will be held with a mass at St Joseph’s Catholic Church on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. with a reception to follow at Best Western – Lakeland/Auburndale Conference Room from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend and share in remembering her beautiful life. Rose Ann will be laid to rest at Wellington National Cemetery in Wellington, FL at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rose Ann’s personal hospice physician, Dr. R. Bennett and his non-for-profit: The Gifted Care Foundation Inc which provides home care for those in need, free of charge. Though she is no longer with us, Rose Ann’s love will live on forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
