My father introduced me to Ross in the late 70s when he wanted someone to give me golf lessons. Over the next many years I enjoyed time helping at Country Hills and later Island View. I have many fond memories of these days with him. A few years ago while hitting some practice balls a friend remarked about my golf swing. This made me begin a search to thank the man who helped me develop it. Having just a few minutes to talk with Ross again made time stand still and reminded me of what is so great about the game of golf. His instruction lives on in me. Prayers of peace to the family as Ross is walking heavens green fairways.

I have fun memories of your dad taking us to the pizza parlor and letting us stay there by ourselves and be “grown up” in fifth grade. I remember his laughter at us doing skits of him and your mom of our trip to Florida when we were 12. I remember him taking us to the driving range to hit balls and that being my first and only experience so far with real golf. He was a very kind man and loving father and husband. He will be missed by many on earth but welcomed in heaven.
