Obituary

Roy Aaron Syford, known to those that loved him as “Big Dog”, passed away in his home in Pierson Florida after a long illness on December 13th, 2017. Words do not express how much he will be missed.
Roy was an avid fisherman and hunter, who loved nothing better than to share his catch. He could often be found sleeping in the sun on your lawn, while he waited for you to come home or sitting around a campfire with his friends. He was proud to say, “I am just an old Cracker”.
Roy is survived by his wife Linda Eileen Syford, his sister Deborah Price, and his children Steven Troy, Ericka Rose, and Chelsie Jean, as well as a very large extended family.
Gone before him are his parents from Vernon Syford, and Juanita Katherine Syford, his sister Mary Louise and brothers Robert and Julian.
He will be missed by his incredible family, cousins, aunts and uncles, grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a host of people who touched his life. He was always on a quest to find a new friend.
Services will be held for Mr. Syford at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home, 1185 W. Granada Blvd Unit #11 in Ormond Beach Florida on Saturday, December 23rd, 2017 at 2:00pm. You are invited to share your memories with the family at www.baldwincremation.com.
