Obituary

Roy Auzenne, 87, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away on March 7, 2020.  He was born on February 17, 1933, in Beaumont, Texas.

Roy is survived by his daughter, Rori Crenshaw, son Wm. Troy (Merav), grandchildren Vincent (15), Atara (8), and Li’or (3), all of Beachwood, Ohio; siblings LeRoy (Betty) of Scottsdale, Arizona, Olga of Beaumont, Texas, Daisy of Warrensville Hts. Ohio, and Patsy of Shaker Hts. Ohio; former wife and dear friend Theresa Taylor of Beachwood, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, William and Elda (nee DeRouen), sisters Gladys and Willie, and twin brother Ray.

Roy proudly served in the Navy on the USS Haven during the Korean war.  He married Theresa in 1968, and they raised their family in Bedford Hts, Ohio.  Roy liked to take his family fishing, swimming, and traveling.  He built a brick smoker in his backyard and loved to host cookouts for family.  He was also active in Toastmasters and Knights of Columbus.

He worked for the State of Ohio as a Life Safety Code Inspector for 34 years.  He moved to Florida after retiring, which gave him more time to enjoy golfing, ballroom dancing, and painting beautiful artwork, which hangs in the homes of his children.

Roy was known for his sense of humor and for keeping everyone laughing.  He was strong and independent right up until his passing.  He was loved and cherished by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

There are no public services scheduled at this time.
