Russell John Tierney was born on January 14, 1956 in Suffolk County, Long Island, New York to Anna I. Niesig Tierney and Alfred P. Tierney Sr. Russell went home to the Lord on July 16, 2020 in Orange City, Florida while hospitalized at Advent Health Fish Memorial Hospital.

Russell was one of eight children. He is predeceased by his parents, his sister Frieda Ann, and brothers, Alfred, Richard, Patrick, and James. He is survived by his brothers Arthur and Dennis and his cousin Eileen.

The family would like to thank Mr. Thomas Mondloch, his guardian, and Gracious Age Assisted Living Facility in Sanford for their excellent oversight and care of Russell. They would also like to thank the ICU staff at Advent Health Fish Memorial Hospital for their care during his final days.

Russell was an industrial electrician who was top in his field. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman, enjoyed motorbiking, and was a fan of MotorCross racing.
