Obituary

Ruth Arlene Beach, 86 of New Smyrna Beach died peacefully Friday, April 26, 2013 with her family by her side.  Ruth was born October 20, 1926 in Rome, NY to Charlotte and Joseph Brennan.  She married the love of her life Donald F Beach on June 14, 1947.  Then settled in Rochester, NY to raise their two children. Ruth worked for many years with Sunshine Shoes.  In 1972 the family moved to New Smyrna Beach where she and her husband owned and operated Beach Electric Company.  Ruth was a member of the First United Methodist Church of New Smyrna Beach and enjoyed playing the organ.  She was also a member of the VFW, American Legion and the Moose.  She loved painting and had a special interest in art.  Ruth was most proud of her family.  She will be remembered for her gregarious personality and was a friend to everyone.  Ruth was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy A. Beach Boyce on February 10, 2013.  She is survived by her loving husband, Donald of 65 years; son, Randy Beach; son-in-law, Thomas Boyce; brother, Francis Brennan; two sisters, Mina Wales and Margaret Rutledge; four grandchildren, Kerry Haddad, Randy David Beach, Kenneth and Kevin Boyce; eight great grandchildren, Victoria, Kenneth, Collin, Kaden and Riley Boyce, Paytin, Reagan, and Colton Haddad.  A visitation will be held from 6-8PM, Monday at the Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place, 1 N. Causeway, New Smyrna Beach.  Graveside services will be 3PM, Tuesday, April 20, 2013 at the Edgewater-New Smyrna Cemetery.

    Aunt Ruth was a very special beautiful women. I have many fond memories of her , when I had to go to Fla for work I came for a visit and Aunt Ruth made a wonderful lunch and the best Pecan Pie I ever had. Your sweetness and charm will be greatly missed. Love you now and forever.

Thank you for inviting me into your home, sharing wine, cheese and your delicious baked goodies. I had so much fun playing cards with you and Don. I will always remember you for your graciousness.
