Obituary

Ruth O Towse, 83, former resident of New Smyrna Beach died Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Woodland Towers in DeLand, following a short illness. Ruth was born in Woburn, Massachusetts. Ruth enjoyed reading, and traveling. She traveled through the Panama Canal, to Alaska, Hawaii and in the Caribbean. She leaves to cherish her memory her children Bruce (Linda) Shorey, Linda (Mark) Stupke, Karen (Bob) Markle, William (Donna) Shorey, Judith Shorey, Jeffrey Shorey, nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, sisters Barbara Haight, Elizabeth Trudeau and nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Kenneth Towse in 2006. A memorial service will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Woodland Towers Chapel in Deland. Committal service will be at Sea Pines Memorial Gardens Edgewater.

    Gramma/ GG, We love you so very much. We are so thankful for the time we spent with you and all the family in July. My memories are not of you being sick but of you as your vibrant self. You will be missed everyday.
