Obituary
Ruthann M. Aderhold, age 61, passed away with her family by her side on Friday, November 4th. Ruthann grew up in Old Bridge, NJ and moved to Florida in 1986, where she continued to perfect her crafting and baking skills affectionately earning her the title “Queen of Desserts”.
Ruthann worked as a warehouse supervisor for AutoNation Parts Center for 26 years and made many wonderful friends. She always treated them as family, making sure they had cakes for their birthdays and lots of cookies and pumpkin rolls for the holidays. Even though the holiday season was spent baking and watching Hallmark movies, she always took the time to cheer on her favorite football team. GO RAVENS!
The only thing Ruthann loved more than her holidays and her Ravens, was her family. She loved her family fiercely and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for them. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. One of the last things she said was that she would do anything she could to live for them.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years Duane Aderhold, Danielle (daughter) and Solomon Sklon, and grandchildren Jordana, Donovan, Rhiannon and Kyle. She is also survived by her brothers, Tommy and Chet Hammel, and her sister Carol Casey as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Thomas Chester and Ruth Hammel, sister Joanie Battagliotti and stepdaughter Trisha Amber Aderhold.
Florida family and friends are invited to join us anytime between 12:30pm and 5:30pm on December 17th at the Country Creek Clubhouse, 620 Country Creek Pkwy in Altamonte Springs to share their stories and say farewell to Ruthann. Celebration of Life details for family and friends in New Jersey, Maryland and surrounding areas are still forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Ruthann’s honor to the Prevent Cancer Foundation https://www.preventcancer.org/
