Obituary

Samuel A. Cutting, 33, of Englewood, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023. Family services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Samuel’s memory to: Animal Welfare League of Charlotte County, 3519 Drance Street, Port Charlotte, FL 33980.

    Although I haven't seen Sam in many years, he was always such a sweetheart and was always more than willing to lend a helping hand. I remember how he loved helping Pete in the kitchen at Shakespeare in Lenox, and even after a long shift would come back to the house and help us make dinner and clean up. He made us laugh so much - he had the best sense of humor. I am so very sorry for the pain you are all going through and join you in mourning such a great loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

    My heart hurts knowing that Sam is gone. Good memories are left behind .Remembering his laugh, his sense of humor along with his quirky personality brings comfort, but knowing you will never see or speak to him again is very hard

    One Night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky. In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand, sometimes there two sets of footprints and sometimes there was one only. This bothered me me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat I could see only one set of footprints so I said to the Lord " you promised me lord that if I followed you that you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of prints in the sand. Why when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?
    The Lord replied, " The times when you have only seen one set of prints my child, is when I carried you". Our love forever Mom and Gerry.

    Sam could make anyone smile. He struck up a conversation with everyone and anyone, all in efforts to make them laugh. I will never forget the belly aches we’d get from laughing over the littlest things. And I’ll never forget all the amazing lessons I learned from him, no matter how far apart we were in proximity. Sam was, and still is, the most important person in my life, and I will carry his love and memory with me always.
