Obituary

In loving memory of Sandra Mae Irvine – Nov. 20, 1937 – Dec. 14th , 2024

Sandra (Sandy) Mae Irvine, 87 of Palm Coast, Fla. (formerly of Portersville, PA) passed away Dec. 14th , 2024.  Sandy was born In Ellwood City, PA on Nov. 20th , 1937 to Geraldine and Melvine Wahl .  Sandy was married to her loving husband William (Bill) Irvine and they happily resided in Palm Coast, Fla.

Sandy loved life and enjoyed helping others.  She loved her cat ‘Callie’.  She also loved tending to her plants and flowers (especially the purple ones).  She enjoyed restaurants and was looking forward to going on her 20th cruise.  She enjoyed playing cards and was very competitive.

Our loss is heaven’s gain, words cannot describe what a warm, caring and loving person Sandy was, she was loved by everyone that knew her and will be sorely missed.  She had previously worked for the Salvation Army and volunteered to help others at a local hospital.  Always a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone.  When friends left her house, she would offer a big hug and these words of advice, “Be careful, it’s a jungle out there!”

Sandy is survived by her husband Bill, sons Lennie (Janet) and Danny (Yvonne), grandson Michael (Gina) and great grandsons Jackson and Maxwell.

The family would like to thank the neighbors’ and friends in her neighborhood who have selflessly helped her and Bill through some very difficult times this past year.  They were there when the family needed them.

A local Remembrance will be held soon at a later date and time.
