When you think of someone who always had a terrific attitude, it was Scott! It seemed to come naturally to him, however we all know that is a choice. He lifted people up. Laughter was something he always carried around with him. I joked with him over the years that stand up comedy would be a natural fit for him. From spending some Christmas celebrations together as youngsters to weddings as we became older, we always had fun and enjoyed each other's company. I will miss him a lot. Prayers to all from the Steinman's in Philadelphia.

Too many great times to count my friend. Nobody made me laugh harder and you helped me to take life as it comes and simply enjoy the ride. “I just want to let you know you’re sitting in my chair” and I will be back to get it one day. Always grateful for those years you blessed my life, my family, with your friendship.

One of my favorite memories of Scott was when he entertained all the guests at his parent's 50th wedding anniversary with comedy skits and magic tricks. In 2009 he also designed a tote bag for his aunts' and uncles' trip to Kauai. The wording was "6 McKeith's and Curt"; my bag is still in use. He had a great sense of humor which is shared by many in his family

Of my nephew, Scott: “Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the LORD has promised to those who love HIM.” (James 1:12)
I cherish every memory of “my cheerleader nephew.” What a great time we had in Paris as he drove us through the traffic at the Arc de Triomphede l’Etoile! Scott was in his element dodging the cars coming from so many directions with his Dad running interference, just like in football! (The Arc is in the center of “the juncture formed by its 12 radiating avenues.”) [Wikipedia]

Uncle Scott, I have wonderful memories of you from pushing me as a little kid on the swings at my mom's place. And you always gave the the fastest and highest pushes around! To making surprise visits to Grandmas and Popo's over the years! To hearing you and my mom laugh over coffee together at the kitchen table... Haha coffee. It's a smell that'll always remind me of you, my parents home, and sweet visits at Grandmas and Popo's. I'm glad you're not in pain anymore and are being held and feeling the love of Jesus forever. But you are definitely missed on Earth. Jesus give Uncle Scott a big hug for me. Love, Sarah

Scott was the best brother, he would tease me but it was not mean nor degrading. He was loving, happy, devoted, loyal , the kind of guy you wanted to come to all your events cause you knew he'd be a great addition. Also so talented and helpful in everything from cooking, grilling,to home improvements. At 64 we all believe that was to young to already be done ones assignment here on earth, however in Scott's case it looks like that doesn't hold true, for Heaven decided he could come early. Just like Scott to get all his work done and reach heaven before me!
Some verses that seem fitting are Isaiah 57:1-2 The righteous perishes and no man takes to to heart, merciful men are taken away from evil, and he shall enter into peace. Scott will be so missed, and tears will come for a while from me, however I rest in the fact we will be reunited again because of The Greatest work done by Our Messiah making a pathway back to FATHER. And when we are all united Scott will forever be my brother, your father your husband, your uncle, your son, your teacher, your friend. Thank you all for the outpouring of love and support it is felt and so appreciated we love you all!

There really are no words to express the loss of my friend & ‘brother’. Friends for over 35 years & the man made made me laugh & smile every one of those years. A big loss for those of us left behind & a great gift for the higher power above. I will never forget the day he brought the love of his life to Bozeman- Jerzy was everything Scott deserved & more. Love you both from here to the moon & back . . . Until we meet again my friend. Love, Your ‘Sista’

Once our family‘s met we became one big family from New York to Florida. You have been my best friend since we were seven when we were in Boys Bridcade while we were the grandkids, to being my best man at my wedding, till now as us having grandkids of our own. I will always remember the fun and crazy things we have done. Remembering the time when we went to Jesus 78 and Linda came to chaperone our camping. For the time we skied in Lake Griffin as we dodged alligators. Although for a while we lived far apart we still kept in contact. You’ve always been there for me and I look forward to reuniting with you in the presence of Jesus.

The first time Scott and I met at Lake Sumter Community College I knew we were going to be good friends. He always had a great attitude and was a breath of fresh air. When we were going to get together it was always a guess as to what we would be getting into (so much fun). I suspect Jesus will have his hands full now since Scott is up there (I mean that in a good way). I will always remember and cherish our friendship we had. It is so hard when someone you know leaves us sooner than expected, but holding on to the memories you made are priceless. I feel so blessed to have been such a good friend of Scott's for a lifetime.

I enjoyed every time I got together with Scott. Whether it was in a Bible study, or just a casual conversation.
He truly made you forget your problems, just by telling a simple story out of his vast inventory of experiences.
His smile and twinkling eyes would light up a whole room, and he always gave the person he was speaking with, the assurance that no one else mattered but them in that moment.
He was loved by many, and his presence will live in our hearts while we are on this earth.
It’s not good by Scott, but see you later.

Scott always greeted everyone with love and the tightest hug! His infectious smile and witty humor always got the party started with style.
Everyone enjoyed his company and he made everyone feel special!
Scott always had great stories to tell and they were always filled with laughter.
There was no doubt how much he love Karen, aka “Darlin”!
His gigantic personality will be greatly missed here on earth!!! But Heaven welcomed Scott with excitement, as they get his presence now!
Until we meet again , “Scotty the body”, you’ll be in our hearts!
We are blessed to have known you!
