I'll never forget one of the cutest girls in school climbing on the back of Sean's latest motor bike outside the gym after basketball practice one day in 1988. We were so dorky..... and he was so cool (and underage). Being two years older and going to a different school than me, Sean Huster was more lore than a friend. My cousin Mark looked up to him and would brag to me about his bikes and the jumps he made in the woods. Years later, I was surprised to discover that he wasn't scary or a bully. He wasn't threatening or intimidating. The image in my head was not accurate at all. He wasn't quite the bad-ass I thought he was, but rather a sweet guy who loved to laugh. His face lit up when reminded of good times at St Joe's and the crazy friends we had in common. And yes, the two of us also commiserated over a shared love lost. Not necessarily the one that got away but the one that left the worst taste in your mouth. Even Sean, the sweet lady's man, had a blind spot for this girl. And we loved to share a beer and talk about how we both carried a scar from her. I can't count on one hand the number of friends that have gone before Sean. Especially from our extended St Joe's crew. And while I will never know why some go before others, or what could or could not have been changed, I do know that the impact Sean made on the people in his life was real and beautiful. I hope we can echo his enthusiasm for life and the passion with which he loved his friends and family.

Sean...we met at St. Joe’s sooo many years ago. I loved how your face could always it all...whether it was Edna untieing your shoes at the worst times...or when we heard the words “POP QUIZ!” I will never forget our trip to NYC and that gorgeous leather jacket you had. You let me wear it all around St. Pat’s Cathedral bc Sr Jane said you can’t leave it in the pew...I will miss you and your posts and just seeing you on FB! Rest easy - say hi to Jane and Mary! ❤️

I met Sean when we worked at the same Winter Park real estate office. I was impressed by his personality, friendliness and his openness. I regret I didn't have enough time to get to know him better. May he rest in peace in the love of our Lord.
