Obituary
Sharon Ann Mahon (Osborne) was granted her angel wings on Sunday, March 6th, 2016. Her final days were spent surrounded by her beloved children, and best friend of 44 years, Darlene DeRagon Peterson McHale. Sharon touched many lives in her short but very memorable life. Her life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of life far exceeded the quantity of time in which one lived. Sharon enjoyed horseback riding, golfing, traveling the world, capturing beautiful sunsets from her waterfront home in Florida, and spending quality time with loved ones. Sharon was driven and dedicated in her Human Resources career, priding herself in upholding ethics, equality, and providing coworkers with the best possible chance to succeed. Her time with both LEGO and The Hartford was immeasurable in her positive impact, wholly appreciated and resulted in countless lifelong friendships. Sharon was predeceased by her parents Ronald and Ruth Osborne, and is survived by her brother Daniel Paul Osborne, and sister Donna Marie Dubanoski and her husband Steve of Enfield, CT. She is also survived by her children, Sean Michael Mahon, 35, and his fiance Jillian Moriarity of Enfield, CT, Kristin Michelle (Mahon) Johnson, 32, and her husband Kyle of Enfield, CT, and her 3 grandsons, Drew, Matthew and Nicholas Johnson, as well as countless close friends and family members who join us all in celebrating her life. A Celebration of Life will be held in memory of Sharon in CT at the convenience of the family.
We will surely miss Sharon, whose humor and loving manner warmed our family gatherings. We loved our dear cousin and know how very much she loved her family. I was relieved to hear Kristen and Sean were with Sharon when she passed, and I know it meant so much to her to have you both there.
When we last talked on the phone, Sharon said she was working on her "bucket list." We talked of her coming to see us in Houston after finishing her last treatment. Sharon was facing it all with such grace and humor, that she was an inspiration to us.
I'm confident Sharon's now resting peacefully and painlessly in heaven, with Uncle Ronnie, Aunt Ruthie, and Uncle Charlie. Please let us know the date of her memorial celebration of life. Our hearts go out to all of you in deepest sympathy.
Love and prayers,
Candy and Bill
