Sharon Kaye Flanagan:  born 14 March 1958 in Sagami Japan at U.S. Army Camp Zama, passed away 13 October 2020 in Melbourne, Florida.

She was born the daughter of Richard Gibbs (deceased) and Beverly Cunningham Shewmaker of Homeland, California.  Sharon spent her early childhood in San Diego California as a “Military Brat”.  During her later childhood she was raised by her dearly loved mother Beverly and stepfather (daddy) James R. Wilder (deceased) in Dale City, Virginia graduating from Garfield High School.  Sharon and family moved to Florida with then spouse Terry Flanagan so he could attend Embry Riddle College in 1979.  Afterward they moved their growing family to Titusville and Port St. John.  A long time employee she worked customer service at Crest Cleaners in Titusville until the spring of 2018.

Sharon is survived by her devoted partner Chuck Frey, mother Beverly Shewmaker.  Four beloved children daughters Karen Herman (Kevin Powell), Teresa Flanagan, Jessica (Cody) Ordner and son Jason Flanagan.  Stepsons Michael and Jason Frey, Stepmother Elizabeth Libby Wilder.  In addition,  grandchildren Jacob Herman, Katie Herman, Alex Gonzalez, Emma Ordner, Chloe Ordner, Rylen Frey, Alice Frey, Cayden Taylor and numerous friends and relatives.

Sharon was vibrant and expressive, not one to hide her thoughts.  She loved the beach, being a mom, spending time with family and especially her grandchildren.  She had a great appreciation off the outdoors and enjoyed her adventures to Yellowstone National Park.

Sharon was diagnosed with Colon Cancer in late 2018 and succumbed after a hard fought battle of two years at Viera Hospital in Melbourne.  She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by many.
