Sheldon Silvers 1929-2020

Aka “Uncle Shelly”

Sheldon Silvers (90 y.o) of Port Orange, Florida, joined our Lord on March 6, 2020, surrounded by his family and friends. Shelly was born on Dec 15, 1929 in The Bronx, New York to Louis & Louise Silvers. He served in the US Army in the 1940’s. He also worked as a Supervisor of US Vitamins in New York and a Field Manager in News Paper Business, Imperial Delivery in New York.

Shelly’s love of his life is reading books and created his own personal Library in his house. He was a Poet and published two Poetry books titled “The Message of Sarayana” and “To You the Lonely”.

Shelly is a good, loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Shelly is survived by his loving Wife Enchie; wonderful step-children Jess and MariaAnn, Alvin and Janet, Jay and Shiela; grand-children Joco, JC and Majella; Sister Myrna, nephew Dr Larry, niece Melissa and their family. Shelly is popular to his close family and friends as “Uncle Shelly”.

Uncle Shelly is remembered as a strong, smart, simple, caring, loving man.

    Sheldon Silvers' book, "The Message of Sarayana" is the most precious book I own - wise, poetic, deeply compassionate, and inspiring. My heartfelt condolence to his erntiuire family. His name and legacy will forever be a blessing. I hope that some day the book erill be re-issued and shared with our troubled world.
