Obituary

It’s with a heavy heart that our family announces the passing of our Beloved Mother, Sherry Ringler Williams. Sherry passed away, Saturday, December 12, 2020 at her home in Grand Island surrounded by family and friends. Sherry was born in Orlando, Florida, February 5, 1949 and attended Boone High School graduating in 1967. Sherry is survived by her husband Roy Leon Williams; daughters Leslie Ann Templin and Amy West; grandchildren Kala, Leighton, Kennedy, Dalton, and Hadlie; 5 great grandchildren as well as her brother Ronnie Ringler and sister, Marcia Webb. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Sara and Woody Ringler. Sherry went on to become one of the most sought-after hairdressers in the Orlando area winning many competitions and later moving into the role as a judge. Adding to her accolades, Sherry was a member of The Florida Cosmetology Association, The National Championships Haircutting Team and went on to teach at Woody’s Hairstyling Institute in Orlando which was founded by her father Woody Ringler. She also worked at Sara n Woody’s salons for many years before opening her own salon. Sherry will be sorely missed by her loving family and friends and her memory will live on forever, she was as beautiful outside as inside and loved the Lord with all her heart. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sherry’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association https://www.alz.org/

I was head over heels for Sherry when I was 11 (1960). The Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons song 'Sherry Baby' was played every 10 minutes in 1960... so Sherry was always on my mind. I am so sorry to hear of your passing.

God Bless and Keep You, Sherry Baby.
