Obituary

Shirley Anne Danyluk, 84, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020 in Volusia County, Florida. She was born in Providence, Rhode Island on January 7, 1936, the daughter of Raymond Brooks Thompson and Ellen Elizabeth Charles Thompson.

Shirley was a retired Administrative Assistant for Siemens Telecommunications, who often talked about how assisting the Engineering Department was the highlight of her career and referred to it as “The Glory Years”.

Shirley was passionate about following the British Royal Family news, Princess Diana was one of her favorites! She enjoyed participating in the Marineland Right Whale Watch group, loved listening to Neil Diamond, and was fascinated with exploring her genealogy.

Of all the things she accomplished in her life, she felt her greatest accomplishment was being a Mom and Grandma.

Shirley is survived by her brother, Raymond Edward, her sons, Ray, Wayne, and Scott, daughter-in-law, Lori, grandson, Jesse Paul, nephews Edward and Jim, nieces Lori and Susan, and numerous great-nephews and great-nieces. Her daughter, Tammy Proulx, passed away November 2, 2020.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11am on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Deltona Memorial Gardens, 1295 Saxon Blvd., Orange City, FL 32763. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Shirley’s memory to Halifax Health Hospice of Port Orange, FL. Arrangements are under the care of Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society, Ormond Beach, FL.
