Obituary
On September 15, 2024, Shirley Fay Baldwin (Gisse) nee Thorpe 1937-2024 passed away at Landmark Hospital in Lehigh Acres FL. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Maxine Thorpe, brother Lynn Thorpe and husbands; Robert Gisse & Daniel Baldwin.
Shirley is survived by her sons Mark Gisse (Mary Katherine) and Craig Gisse (Mary Ellen) and her brother Darryl Thorpe (Rose Whitaker). She is also survived by her grandchildren Erin (Tad) Parks, Robert Gisse, Elizabeth Gisse and Jacob ( Kaitlyn ) Gisse with Great-grandchild: Henry and her best friend and cousin: Connie & Gary Thorpe and many Baldwin family members from Rochester MI.
Shirley was born in Auburn Heights MI. She retired from General Motors where she ran the Pontiac Motors foundry (gotta know her). She moved to Florida and lived in LaBelle near her parents, moving to N. Fort Myers and finally settled in Fort Myers. She enjoyed spending time golfing and playing cards. She also enjoyed visiting Cypress Lake Presbyterian Church and traveling back to MI to visit family and friends from “The Heights”. Shirley will be missed by all.
