Obituary

Spencer Bowen, 69, of Dania Beach died peacefully at home on Sunday, May 16, 2021 with his family by his side after a courageous fight with Pancreatic Cancer.  Spencer was born April 23, 1952 in Atlanta, Georgia.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Bowen, his father, Willis H. Bowen and mother, Mavis Parks Bowen. Spencer moved to Florida in 1971.  He later created Tiles by Spencer and Mexican Tile and Imports in Dania Beach.    He will be remembered for his Big personality and love of life. 

Spencer is survived by his loving wife, Cindy of 29 years; daughters, Kimberly Bowen Tarrance and Reni Bowen Gonzalez (Anthony Gonzalez); step-daughter, Kimberly Prohias (JJ Prohias); five grandchildren, Guy IV, Addie, and Turner Tarrance, Nathaniel Gonzalez, Jenni Jimenez and Amanda Castro (Josh Castro); great grandchildren, Landon, Emmett and Liam; sister, Bonnie Bowen Buckner and brother, Andy Bowen.

Memorial donations can be made in his honor to Pancreatic Research at www.pancan.org.  

A life celebration will be held at Spencer & Cindy’s home on July 31, 2021 from 4 -7PM.  Any questions regarding the service you can contact Ruth Anne Yeats at Baldwin Brothers or at 386-882-6071.
