Obituary
Stanley “Steve” R. Carmichael, 96, husband of the late Mary Louise Carmichael and husband of Marianne Carmichael, died on August 7, 2018.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Stanley was the son of the late Florence and Claude Carmichael.
Steve proudly served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. Steve enjoyed time at the beach, traveling, and eating a good cheeseburger. Steve became an active member of the Westminster by the Sea Presbyterian Church in Daytona Beach Shores, Florida.
Steve leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 36 years, Marianne Carmichael, three sons: Steve Carmichael his wife,Clare, of Sante Fe, NM; Dennis Carmichael of Malibu, California; Gerald Carmichael his wife,Jane, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and four daughters: Rexanne Gwen Carmichael Fogt of Sarasota, Florida; Mary Carmichael of Daytona Beach, Florida; Patricia Jackson of New Port Richey, Florida; Aimie Willhoite her husband, Steve, of Elsmere, Kentucky, and stepdaughter Cheryl Gates of Santa Rosa, California. Steve also leaves ten grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren to share in his memory.
His family will celebrate his life with a service at Westminster by the Sea Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 10:30 am. Military honors will be presented by the USMC at that time.
His family respectfully requests memorials in his name be made to Halifax Health Hospice or to the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation in lieu of flowers. You are invited to share your memories with the family at www.baldwincremation.com.
