Stanley Osowski, Edgewater FL died Sunday, July 18, 2010 just eight days prior to his 97th birthday. Born in Central Falls, Rhode Island, he came to this area in 1997 from Warwick, RI. He was a retired research and design engineer, working at the Leesona Corporation for the last 26 years of his career. Durng WW II he was involved in the design and development of automatic weapons systems for the U.S. Military
Stanley was a past president of the Rhode Island Civic Chorale and Orchestra and founder and president of the Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium Preservation Association in Providence, RI.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 49 years Jean, son Stanley, Jr. and daughter-in-law Jane Osowski, sister Alice Wunsch, granddaughter Susan and her husband Mark Cocroft, great grandchildren William and Jessica Cocroft, niece Sandra and her husband John Gillooley and nephew Ronald and his wife Mary Osowski.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to Hospice of Volusia Southeast Care Center 4140 South Ridgewood Ave Edgewater FL 32141.
Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, July 24 at 11:00 AM at Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place 1 North Causeway New Smyrna Beach FL.
We will always remember them as "Auntie Jean and Uncle Stanley who live in America" having been very fortunate to meet up with them in England and stay with them America. RIP
