Obituary

Stephen Carroll LaClair, 58, of Summerfield, FL passed away peacefully on January 1, 2017. A native of Barton, Vermont, and lived in Concord, NH for much of his life. Stephen was a graduate of Merrimack Valley High School and a former member of the Penacook/Boscawen Lion’s Club. He worked at Merrimack Valley School District in the Maintenance and Grounds Department. Since early 2000, Stephen has been a resident of Marion County, FL and worked at a local nursing home in the maintenance department. Stephen was a great fan of the Red Sox and Patriots.
He Leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving parents Carroll Charles and Doris Mae LaClair of Summerfield, FL, brothers, James (Cynthia) LaClair of Gilmanton, NH, Gary (Justine) LaClair of Cumming, GA, Dennis (Sharyn) LaClair of Gilmanton, NH, Mark (Joy Kline) LaClair of Pembroke, NH, sisters, Tina LaClair of Exeter, NH, Diane Hayes of North Hampton, NH, Dawn (Glenn Hermanowicz) LaClair of Penacook, NH,  step son, Tom (Kathy) Gullage of Concord, NH and step daughter Marla Miller of Penacook, NH, 4 step grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild. A celebration of Stephen’s life will be held later at the family’s discretion. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of Marion County- 352-854-5218. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Hospice of Marion County for the excellent care they provided for Stephen.     I was a childhood neighbor and my heart goes out to his family. He was fortunate to have been part of a wonderful family. He was a pleasure to know. Sorry to hear of his passing.

    I am saddened to learn that a great friend and cousin hs passed away. Steve was always willing to help mow grass, move furniture, replace windows, or anything that was ask of him. He had a lot of friends and when asked about a certain person in the area Steve would know. We are going to miss Steve for his kind heart, joyful wit, and knowledge of just about everything. My heartfelt condolences to Aunt Doris, Uncle Carroll, Jim, Gary, Mark, Dennis, Diane, Tina, Dawn, and families.

    Our love for Steve is always alive. Sympathy to all his family, friends and good neighbors. We grieve because Steve meant so much to us and his loss is painful but our faith proves we will see him again. Rev 21:3-4
