Obituary
Stephen Anthony Hall, Sr. 80, of Orlando Fl, passed away May 11, 2024 at AdventHealth Orlando hospital. Steve, as he was called by his family and friends, was born in Orlando, Fl to the late Grady L and Edith Hall. He graduated with a degree in theology from Southern Missionary College (now Southern Adventist University) in Collegedale, TN and returned to Florida to become the first youth pastor at Forest Lake Church in Altamonte Springs. He later taught 7th and 8th grades at Forest Lake Elementary Educational Center for a couple of years before becoming a budget analyst for Orange County Florida and eventually working as a certified financial planner. Steve became very involved at Kress Memorial Seventh Day Adventist Church, where he served as an elder, was a member of the church board, taught Sabbath School classes and worked with the Pathfinders youth organization there. He was also a chairman of the school board at Orlando Junior Academy, he was a member of Toastmasters and of the Rotary Club, and a Volunteer Chaplain for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office for 15 years. Steve achieved two Master’s degrees from Rollins College, mastering in Business Administration and Criminal Justice, and also worked as an adjunct professor there for 10 years. He was an avid reader, enjoyed classic cars, history and traveling.
Steve is survived by his wife Mary Stevens Hall, two sons, Stephen Anthony Hall, II, and Jonathan D. Hall both of Orlando, sister-in-law Eileen Hall, two nephews Kevin Agurkis (Chi), and Stanton Hall (Caroline), two nieces, Sarah Agurkis Turner (Brad), and Cathy Hall Ballard (Daryl) and several great-nieces. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Stanley Hall, and his sister Judy Hall Agurkis.
Funeral Services will be determined in the near future. Arrangements are with Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society, Apopka, Florida
