Stephen Paul Roland
February 4, 1948 – August 9, 2021
A Celebration of Life for Stephen Roland, 73, of Titusville, FL will be held on August 21st, 2021, at Faith Baptist Church in Titusville, FL.
Steve died on August 9, 2021 at Viera Hospital in Melbourne, FL from complications of the COVID virus. Steve was born in Patterson, NJ to John Walsh and Annette A. Kolodin on February 4, 1948.
Steve was a member of the US Marines from 1966-1972. On leaving the Marines he began his career in Law Enforcement, which lasted until his retirement in 2002. He enjoyed many activities, such as being on his boat fishing or just cruising. He loved visiting the Bahama Islands, exploring and snorkeling. He also enjoyed bowling and became very good at it, having bowled in a league for many years. Steve loved country music and enjoyed attending concerts, especially the country music of “Alabama”. He particularly loved cooking big family meals. His greatest joy was when the whole family was together laughing and eating.
Steve loved Jesus and possessed a servant’s heart. He was honored to serve his church. He trusted Jesus as his Savior August 15, 1991. He prayed daily for all his children to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus.
One of the most important events in his life was his experience in receiving a life- saving kidney transplant on his birthday in 2020. His spirit lives on in his remaining “Four Corners”, Elaine, Nicole, and Carter.
Steve is survived by his loving wife, Vanessa Roland, his daughters Kathy Romero, Velvet Willis, Brielle Young and Elaine Nakagawa, and his son, Stephen J. Roland; step-daughters Christine Agnew and Julie Newell; grandchildren Amanda, Brandon and Caitlyn Luoma; Emma and Holly Willis; Jace, Meadow, Jakodi Young; Stephen and Alexandria Roland; Vanessa & Katherine Newell, Ella Bercedia, Mark Rehrig, Jasmine Hernandez and Brandon Agnew. He also had 3 great-children: Wyatt, Willow and Noah.
Let us honor his spirit by loving and supporting one another as he smiles down from Heaven.
Steve, you were a treasure here and I will forever treasure “My Steve Hugs”. Till we hug again. Love and miss you!

Christ. Your enthusiasm to see your kids come to know Him too was inspiring. Now you are in that "great cloud of witnesses" of Hebrews 12:1-2, watching us run our race; cheering us on and rooting for us to keep going when we want to quit. "Clouds are in the sky", was an argument I used when analyzing that Bible verse, then came the sweet thought: "Not if its fog!" Fog wraps around us and hugs us. Its just nice to be a Christian in times like this. See you later, Brother. Elaine Willis
He always had a thing for his pets.
then he finally got the best seats. We always wore our jerseys and enjoys all the activities before the games and then the buffet and always
ended with the bestest carrot cake
oh and adding it was awesome to go in the black Camaro T-top that I got to drive around whenever he went away
