Obituary
Steve Branda, 70, passed away peacefully under the loving and gentle care of Hospice of Marion County on July 17, 2018. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend who will be missed by so many. He always seemed to find way to make friends everywhere he went. He moved to Florida and then retired to The Villages and loved the lifestyle The Villages had to offer. He enjoyed golfing, playing games such as cards and bocci ball, traveling, going to concerts and movies and spending time with friends and family. Steve is survived by his loving life partner of over 15 years Margaret Moraca of The Villages; daughters, Vanessa (Frank) Wakefield of Florida, Gloria Branda of Florida, Stephanie Branda of Florida, Brooke Branda of Florida; grandchildren, Steven Wakefield, Alex Lane, Joey Wakefield, Isaiah Branda, and Siani Branda all of Florida. He also is survived by former wives, Angel (Johnny) Dadabo and Toni (Keith) Piette of Florida; brothers, Bruce (Emma) Branda of SC, Dave(Terri) Branda of New York, and Bob Branda of Florida; sister, Marie (Ed) Piech of New Jersey; in-laws, Maria (David) Moraca of North Carolina, Bill (Alyce) Moraca of Maryland, Jeanine (and the late Tony) Moraca of NY, Donna (and the late Mark) Moraca of North Carolina, Dave (Sue) Moraca of New York, Matt (Candace) Moraca of Florida. Steve also had many loving extended family members and friends that he leaves behind. He was predeceased by his son, Steven Branda Jr., of New York and Steve’s parents Emanuel and Ann Branda also of New York. A private celebration of life will be held July 29, 2018 in The Villages. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Marion County in his name.
