Obituary

Steven Gail Carlson passed away on January 13, 2020 from Cancer. He was diagnosed with cancer on August 18, 2018. His Life was full of wonderful Love and Happiness and Joy. He worked for Disney Word, Orlando, Fl for 38 years and retired on June 30, 2016. He was born Deaf and was diagnosed for hearing aids when he was 3 years old. His mom drove 180 round trip drive Monday through Friday to learn to read lips. Eventually he got Cochlear implants which’d helped his hearing sound and communicate with people much better. He worked and maintained Disney’s Golf course and Hotel grounds during his employment there. He was one of there Top Employees that got recognition from his bosses and higher up management for his excellent job. Steve took his job very seriously and would always tell his co-workers that they needed to do this or that to make it perfect. But Steve’s father Roy Gail Carlson whom also retired from Disney world back in early year of 2000, always taught Steve if you going to do a job make sure you do it the best you can and don’t do any through together junk or you’re find yourself redoing it. Steve knew how to run every machine there and used it properly do he never almost never had an accident. He was smart and very intelligent with all that he did while working for Disney world. Golf was his life and he enjoyed the game with all his heart. He had a great HC and could almost beat everyone (friends) etc. every time. His dream was to someday be in the senior golf torment but unfortunately his disease caught up with him and took him home to Heaven. He was a great man and would give and help those in need if asked. His kind heart melted mind and I am truly blessed to have been his Wife for 15 ½ years. His friends called him STEVO and besides Golf he loved to bowl with friends and dance and listen to the oldies from 70’s and 80’s soft rock-n-roll.

Jenny and Mary: You may not get this message because it's been over two years since Steven's death. Our family became an extended family for him during his first three years of school in Illinois. He was an angel boy and loved by anyone who knew him. He was a fantastic lip reader and could never understand why I couldn't answer him back when we were in church and he was asking "How much longer?" It was so special to see you both in Orlando a few years ago and see and talk with our grown up "son." We've always been proud of him and his positive attitude in life and his faith. If you have our address please send me yours. Our Christmas letter came back around 2018?
Our entire family send our love and sympathy. Our son found this obit by accident and even though he never knew Steven he always felt he had another brother somewhere.
