Obituary
STEVEN T. FOX, age 61, loving brother of Mary Lynn, Norman, Gregory and James (Megan); son of the late Norman and Vivian (nee Schleicher); loving uncle to Emily Frieg, Robert Frieg (Dana), Julie Frieg, Alec Fox, Claire Fox, Elizabeth Fox, Bill Fox, Sarah Fox, Mike Fox, Anna Fox and Jack Fox; great uncle to Jackson Frieg, Adelyn Frieg and Aiden Jones. He is survived by his long-time loving companion, Jean Phillips. Steve graduated from St. Edward High School (1980), attended the University of Dayton and graduated from Cleveland State University with a Business Degree. He was an executive at JB Dollar Stretcher involved with consumer direct marketing for several years. He later transitioned to work highway construction for Great Lakes Construction and Cleveland Barricading Systems in the areas of traffic and quality control. He was also a Football Referee for OHSSA and Card Dealer at Jack Casino. Steve loved sports, playing cards and watching movies. His house was always open to friends and family alike. On any given evening or weekend, there would be poker or bridge games, football watch parties or movie nights. He also ran numerous pools and fantasy leagues throughout the year. Steve was truly a dedicated uncle to his eleven nieces and nephews. He is known to them as Funcle (the fun uncle). As they got older, he became a person they could confide in and help them through difficulties they encountered. Steve was extremely kind and generous to those in his life and helped many a friend and family member through challenging times. Funeral Mass, St. Luke’s Church (Clifton Blvd. and Bunts Rd., Lakewood) Friday, March 22nd at 11 AM. Interment Private. Friends may call in the McGORRAY-HANNA FUNERAL HOME OF LAKEWOOD, 14133 Detroit Ave., THURSDAY 4 P.M. – 7 P.M. Family suggests memorial contributions to St. Edward High School or a charity of one’s choice.
