Obituary
Steven Gregory “Boobie” Jenkins was born to Clifford Julius Jenkins, Jr. and Beatrice Ellis Jenkins on October 19, 1960 in Daytona Beach, FL. He is preceded in death by Parents Clifford Julius Jenkins, Jr. and Beatrice Ellis Jenkins, Great Grandparents Clifford Julius Jenkins, Sr. and Mary Alice Williams Jenkins and Brother Reginald Jenkins.
Steven was a graduate of Spruce Creek High School Class of 1978. During his high school years Steven enjoyed and excelled in the sports of Baseball and Football. He was academically outstanding and had a keen eye for great literature. Steven went on to attend the University of Florida where he majored in English Literature.
In 1982 Steven’s union with Dorothy Perry bore a daughter Letitia Titania Jenkins, which he proudly named in the reflection of plays he had read and studied by William Shakespeare. He continued to instill his passion for learning into his daughter and any one who was willing to lend an ear.
As Steven adapted to fatherhood and the working life, he took a journey that lead him across an array of experiences that would mold and shape his impression on the world and the people around him. He always greeted people with a smile and intrigued those who knew him with his quiet mellow ways. He loved his family and loved his friends and if ever needed would place a helping hand.
As part of Steven’s pastimes he enjoyed fishing, cooking, music and laughing.
He leaves to cherish his memory 1 child: Letitia T. Jenkins, 1 Grandchild Zion A. Bunche; 4 Siblings Tanya V. Jenkins, Carlette M. Jenkins, Sean R. Jenkins, and Clifford J. Jenkins III, 3 Nieces, 2 Nephews, several Great Nieces and Nephews, and a Host of Relatives and Friends.
Please know that Steven will be missed....
