Obituary

Steven S. Puskas, 80, of Orlando died peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, January 04, 2012 at his home.  Steven was born May 3, 1931 in South Bend, IN.  He served his country with the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.  After he was honorable discharged he attended Butler University receiving his Bachelor’s degree in business.  Steven married the love of his life, Kathleen R. Hannon on January 11, 1963.  They resided in New Jersey to raise their four children before retiring to Orlando in 1995 and enjoyed living in the Orange Tree Golf Community of Dr. Philips.  Steven was a self made man and with the support of his wife he acquired and successfully ran Toyota, Dodge and Mazda dealerships in New Jersey.  But away from work his true hobby was his family.  Steven was natural athlete; his favorite sports were basketball, football, softball and tennis which he played throughout his life.  In the later part of his life he enjoyed playing golf with friends on a regular basis until a just few years ago.  Steven also took great pride in teaching his five grandchildren every sport that they might possibly have an interest in.  Steven will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his generous heart and for being a true gentleman.  He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Kathleen; devoted children, Maureen Williams, Mark Puskas, Amy Conforth and Stephen Puskas; five grandchildren and two brothers, Lawrence and Daniel Puskas.  A Life Celebration will be held 10AM, Monday, January 9, 2012 at Casa Feliz, 656 N. Park Avenue, Winter Park.    A Life Celebration will be held 10AM, Monday, January 9, 2012 at Casa Feliz, 656 N. Park Avenue, Winter Park.

Dear Aunt Kathy, Maureen, Amy, Stephen and Mark,
My words cannot fully express how beloved and admired Uncle Steve was by everyone in the Beck family, especially our mother, Mary Ann. We will remember his strength, gentle kindness and sense of humor, and how, no matter how busy he was, he always found the time for everyone. We hope you can in time find comfort in the knowlege that you gave him so much joy in his life and that his love for you is eternal.

Dear Aunt Kathy, Maureen, Amy, Steve, and Mark,
The Longos are so very sorry to hear of your loss. Uncle Steve was always so wonderful to be around. I am so happy that my husband and children were able to meet him and spend time with him. The kids were able to experience the joy that I remember from visits with Steve and his family when I was young. You are in our hearts and prayers. Love, Jennifer, Mike, Ben, and Gaby

My whole family wants you to know how sorry we were to hear of Uncle Steve's passing. At the family reunion last summer his face would just light up talking about his children and grandkids. I know you all gave him such strength. My kids just adored him. I hope you find strength knowing how positively he impacted so many people. Love you,
    Laurie, Jim, Shannon and Daniel
