Obituary

Susan Marcia Caponera, age 64, died suddenly at home on February 11, 2022, in Flagler Beach, Florida.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Allison Rodick, of Grafton, OH; her son, Josh (Brandi) Davis, of Nicholls, GA; mother, Patricia Mesnard, of Flagler Beach, FL; sister, Michelle Riesterer of Sandusky, OH; grandchildren, Madison and Sydney Rodick of Grafton, OH, Caitlyn Eldridge of Eden, GA, Chloe Eldridge of Guyton, Ga, Phoebe Eldridge of Gales Ferry, CT, Bayley, Nathean, and Shelby Davis of Nicholls, GA. She also leaves behind her cat, Eli, who misses her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her sons, Christopher Eldridge in 2018 and Coty Eldridge in 2021; Father, Neal Davis in 2007, stepfather Harold Mesnard in 2016; and grandparents Sidney and Thelma Wiggins.

Susan was born on March 2, 1957 in Norwalk, OH. She graduated from Huron High School in 1975 and moved to Florida in 1985. Susan studied Office Management at Daytona State College and graduated in 2012. She worked at Plaza Resort and Spa in Daytona Beach, FL till 2020.

Susan enjoyed spending time at the beach, reading, and attending church. She also enjoyed learning about native American history and crafts related to their culture. Susan also found herself rescuing abandoned animals, just as she did with her cat Eli.

Services are scheduled for Susan on March 31, 2022, at 11:00am, at Salty Church, 221 Vining Ct, Ormond Beach, FL, 32176. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Susan’s life. Flowers and donations can be sent to Salty Church at 221 Vining Ct, Ormand Beach, Fl, 32176.

    Suzie had a way about her that was a stunning balance between tenacity and compassion. Already her presence is missed, and selfless service legendary. I’m grateful to have had her share her stories, and her hopes with me; as so many of us do.
