Susan Patricia Kieft

On 7/11 Heaven gained an angel as Susan P. Kieft entered eternal rest and left behind a world of people touched by her life. Susan grew up in Floral Park, NY and was a graduate of Sewanhaka High school.
A wonderful mother, an amazing Nana (grandmother and great-grandmother), cherished friend to so many, a family matriarch, and so much more. Susan was predeceased by the love of her life, Rodman B. Kieft. She joins him for their wedding anniversary on 7/13.
Susan worked for General Electric for 20 years, where she met the love of her life, Rod, and was a dedicated volunteer at St Claire’s Hospital for many years. She loved giving and helping those in need. She donated a car to a family in need, loved animals, rescued Max and Lily (who she leaves behind) and donated to countless charities and organizations.
She resided in Glenville, NY until her retirement, then snow-birding between New Smyrna Beach, FL and Saratoga Lake, NY, before finally settling in Port Orange Florida.
Susan was idolized by those that called her Nana. Many loving memories include parades, dance recitals, Broadway shows, puppet shows, pool fun, sleepovers at Nana and Papa’s, dinner parties, holiday parties, and others enough to last a lifetime. Family was everything.
Susan leaves behind so many that will carry her memories with them every single say: daughter Karen (Michael) Montgomery, stepdaughter Katherine (William) Nass, stepsons Rodman (Barbara) Kieft, Gary Kieft, and Donald (Claire) Kieft. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many close and special friends. She was predeceased by her son William J. Kindl and her stepson Michael (Donna) Kieft.
In accordance with Susan’s wishes there will be no calling hours or services at this time.
