Suzan Bell (Oldenburg) Walker
Suzan Bell Walker was born in Springfield, MA on September 2, 1938. She passed away on December 17, 2016 after a courageous battle with leukemia. Suzan retired from Weight Watcher’s International in 1993, after 25 years of service. She began a second career in the field of nursing after moving to Ormond Beach, Florida in 1998. Suzan worked in area nursing homes for many years – specializing in Alzheimer’s care as well as hospice and home health. She enjoyed helping the elderly and volunteering during any of her free time. Suzan was full of love and laughter. She was the beacon of light that guided her family. She will be truly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
Suzan leaves behind her longtime companion, Charles Boysel, as well as four children – Donna McKay (Philip) of Westfield, MA, Laurie Marlow (John) of Bunnell, FL, Russell Oldenburg (Ann Marie) of St. Augustine, FL and Paula Conner (Mel) of Belchertown, MA. She was also blessed with twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 19th at 5 o’clock at the Faith Church, 4700 South Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange, FL
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Faith Church or Florida Hospital Hospice.
