Obituary
Suzanne K. Bricker-Bartley, 76, of Middletown, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, March 25, 2018 in Daytona Beach, Florida. She was surrounded by her loving husband, children, and sister.
Born on August 18, 1941, in Butler County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert D. and Mildred (Sauter) Wolfe, of Sarver, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Albert L. Bricker in 1998.
She was a 1959 graduate of Freeport High School in Freeport, Pennsylvania. From high school, she went on to graduate from Westminster College. After many years of faithful service, she retired from Frederick County Public Schools.
Suzanne was a member of First Baptist Church of Frederick, Maryland and CrossRoads Baptist Church in Daytona Beach, Florida. She loved playing piano and singing in the choir.
Always warm and caring, she loved without measure and was loved without measure. She devoted her life to her family and home.
She is survived by her husband of six years, Terrence “Terry” Bartley of Port Orange, Florida; daughters, Lori Maly (husband Brian) of Middletown and Audra Lucas (husband Christopher) of Keedysville, MD; son, Kurt Bricker (wife Juleah) of Tunkhannock, PA; step-daughter, Amy Harbert (husband Michael) of Chesterfield, VA; step-son, Jeffrey Bartley (wife Anna) of Woodstock, VA; and sister, Linda (husband Thomas) of Hilliard, OH.
She was a devoted “Grammy” to fifteen grandchildren: Tanner (21), Drew (16), Alexa (11), Marissa (16), Eliana (13), Kyleigh (9), Coleman (10), Cash (8), Crew (5), Chet (3), Campbell (2), Julia (16), Zachary (14), Eleanor (8), Dominic (5).
In addition to family, Suzanne will be missed by countless friends in both Maryland and Florida.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Maryland.
A celebration of Suzanne ‘s life will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018, at First Baptist Church, 7040 Bowers Rd., Frederick, Maryland. Dr. Larry L. Eubanks and Rev. Kurt A. Bricker will officiate. Private interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick, MD.
A memorial service will also be held in Port Orange, Florida at a date and time to be announced.
