Synica Fortner, 43, passed away unexpectedly on June 26, 2021. He was born July 18, 1977 in Lucedale, Mississippi, son on Emory Donald Fortner and Linda Hollis (Chambliss). Synica was a painter by trade. He enjoyed kayaking, loved music, and loved God. Surviving are his loving wife, Lisa Fortner of Cape Coral, FL., mother and step father, Linda (Mayne) Hollis of Bellflower, CA., father, Donald Fortner of Gulfport, MS., son, Christopher Fortner, daughters, Valerie Parente, Syenna Fortner, and Sadie Cole, and sister, Sheyla Stokes, all of Hattiesburg, MS., brother, Shannon Kostyk, and an aunt, Margaret Hickman of Pearl, MS., along with 2 grandchildren.
Synica was a charismatic person that never met a stranger. He had been known to make lifelong friendships within minutes of meeting someone. He had a larger than life personality and was quick to help anyone in need. He did not value material possessions but instead valued his relationships and connections with those closest to him. Synica lived a very full and adventurous life in the short 43 years that he was on this earth and loved to reminisce often about all the amazing things he was blessed to witness. He was often heard saying by those closest to him that if he passed away tomorrow, he had lived a great life and was able to experience many things that others could only dream of.
