Obituary

T. Russell Anderson, JR., 87, of Palm Coast, Fl., entered eternal life peacefully on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, with his loving wife, Margaret “Peg” by his side. Russ was born on September 20, 1933 in Summit, New Jersey, the son of Theodore Russell Anderson and Mae Grace (Lynn).

Russ was a graduate of Jonathan Dayton High School in Springfield, NJ, class of 1952. Russ worked for a few years at GM and then opened his own business Hanover Auto Body in Parsippany, New Jersey for 36 years before retiring and moving to Naples, FL.

An avid and loyal Roll Tide, Alabama fan, Russ coached Somerset Hills Pop Warner football for many, many years. Also he coached B & B little league which is now Ridge Baseball Club in Basking Ridge, NJ. Some of these programs and fields that he built still exist today.

Russ is survived by his wife, Margaret “Peg”, his son, Scott (Karen), and two daughters, Kathy (Chris Monahan) and Elise (Robert West) and ten grandchildren. Russ will be sadly missed by his “fur kids”: Mugsy, Barney and Schwarzie.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date due to the Corona Virus. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Russ Anderson’s name to the animal shelter of your choice.

I will miss Cousin Russell. Though we didn’t see him often, each time we did was memorable. From when he fixed my battered Mustang 30 years ago, the lobster dinner he cooked at Bay Head for the family, stays at his place in Marco, and his many witty remarks.. he won’t be forgotten. Rest In Peace, Russ xo
