She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Judy; her daughter, Jessica (Scott) Davis, Columbus, Ohio; her three former stepdaughters Kristina (Nathan) Davis, Fort Myers, Florida; Tamara “Tee” (Benjamin) Cooper, Raleigh, North Carolina; Kimberly (Denis) Dunn, Valrico, Florida; her brothers Dr. Edward Christopher, State College, Pennsylvania; Robert Doerr, Mansfield, Ohio; and her beloved eight grandchildren. Tami was born in San Bernardino, California and raised by her grandparents in Madeira, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati. Tami loved music and was a captivating vocalist who enjoyed participating in vocal competitions as a teenager. She graduated from Madeira High School in 1976 and received an Associate Degree in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati. After relocating to Florida, Tami helped run a cleaning company and, in her later years, worked as a substitute teacher. She absolutely loved working in the classroom with children of all ages being sure to impart in them an appreciation for persons with disabilities.
Tami enjoyed the Florida sunshine, the sand between her toes and spending time with her friends and family. She was an active volunteer with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, enjoyed cruising with her fellow “MS Cruisers” and a faithful Jehovah’s Witness. Tami loved to travel and recounted many stories from her trips to Alaska, Jamaica and the Bahamas. She battled her MS, and later PML, diagnoses with grace and tenacity. She always wore a smile, had a great sense of humor and an unbelievable sense of optimism. Her warm beautiful smile and big brown eyes matched her loving heart which will forever be remembered by her family and friends. Tami was a charismatic, strong, determined, beautiful woman who never met a stranger.
