Obituary
Englewood, Florida resident Ted Riley “Teddy” Prater passed away on February 21, 2021 after a long battle with ALS-Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Ted was born on July 23rd, 1945, in Muncie, Indiana, but grew up in Morrison, Tennessee. Ted graduated from Morrison High then went on to attend Freed-Hardeman College.
Following College, Ted worked for Eastern Airlines then Sarasota County following his move to Florida.
He is survived by his wife Michael Robin Davis, two daughters Robin Denise (Marcus) Eason, Jill Cherie McArdell and a stepson Roy John (Crystaal) Davis,111, eight grandchildren Abigail, Brandon, Julian, Trey, Brooke, Aubrey, Dalton, and Brittany along with six great grandchildren.
Additionally, he leaves behind three sisters Connie (Marion) Turner, Amy (Paul) Freeman and Brenda (Gary) Cope.
Ted was a member of the Lemon Bay Church of Christ where a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Florida Chapter of the ALS Association, Tidewell Hospice in Englewood Florida, or Boyd Christian School in McMinnville, Tennesee.
