Obituary
Ted Turner, 77, of Palm Coast, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Advent Hospital, Daytona Beach, FL.
Ted was born on October 14, 1944, in Gadsden, Alabama to Clifford and Ila Turner. He graduated from high school and met the love of his life, Charlotte while attending college in Gadsden, Alabama. On July 2, 1966, they got married. Ted began his career in retail with Woolworth, Howard Brothers, and others. His career took him to many places in the South including Baton Rouge, Louisiana. There in Louisiana he began his own lawn and landscaping business eventually bringing him and his family to Palm Coast, Florida in 1989. He continued his business until he started his career at Flagler Palm Coast High School in 1997 as Maintenance Turf Care Supervisor. His commitment, passion and dedication to his work was very apparent. Ted influenced many including students who eventually worked alongside him all while mentoring them along the way. He developed many friendships over the years at the school. His hobbies included spending time with family, helping family, fishing, and taking the grandkids to Dairy Queen.
Anyone who knew Ted knows his family was everything to him. Ted was 1 of 9 children, so he learned quickly how to be nice, kind-hearted, and always enjoyed helping others. He was the greatest husband, brother, uncle, father, papa and great-papa. Ted will forever be cutting grass at the pearly gates in heaven. Psalms 23
