Theodore John McConnell (Teddy, Bubby) entered into rest on November 4, 2020 in The Villages, Florida.

He was born August 1, 1938 in Chester, Pennsylvania, the son of Theodore A. McConnell, and Anna Elizabeth Buckley. Ted graduated from Media High School, class of 1956, where he played football and baseball. Ted was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing and all sports. Following graduation, he started employment at Scott Paper Company, Chester, PA. While employed there, he lived in Claymont, Delaware; Altoona and Oxford, Pennsylvania.

Upon retirement after 37 years, he relocated to The Villages, Florida where he pursued his passion for the game of golf. It was there that Ted met and married his adoring wife Donna (Warrilow). Together, they enjoyed 21 happy years of marriage spent on the golf course and visiting with friends and family.

Ted was an accomplished golfer having scored 5 hole-in-ones and holds many course records. Ted was always the funniest guy on the course or in the room. He was the life of the party and will be remembered for his ornery personality and mischievous twinkling blue eyes.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his step-father, Jake Bowers of Media, Pa., and his sister Carol Jean (Bill Guhl), Nottingham, Pa. Ted is survived by his loving wife Donna (Warrilow); his sisters, Betty Anne Hasson (Carlos Zieglar ) of West Chester, Pa. and Sharyn Smythe (Jay) of Florida; and his brothers, Jim McConnell (Karen) of Boothwyn Pa., David Bowers (Penelope) of West Chester, Pa., and Kevin Bowers (Sarah), of Townsend, Del. Ted is, also, survived by his son, T. Michael McConnell of Lancaster, Pa.; and daughters Ruth M. Nilan of Holtwood, PA., and Patricia Chionis (Nick) of Denver, Colorado. Ted leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Ben McConnell, Korbin McConnell, Tiffany Gatch Dahedl, Allison Markey, and T. Sean Nilan, as well as 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
