Theresa Anne (Papa) Holloway 1948 – 2021
Ocklawaha, Florida 73, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on August 25 ,2021. Theresa was born on May 5, 1948, in Narragansett, RI. She was raised by Pasquale And Lucy Papa her in Narragansett, RI.
Theresa graduated from Saint Francis Xavier Academy Providence, RI. June 10,1966, then went on to Warwick Academy of Beauty Culture. Soon after that she was United in marriage to John Holloway Jr. in March of 1968. In 1976 she traveled extensively with her family all the way to Germany and several different states upon returning to Narragansett in the 1980’s the help her father run Pat’s Grille on Boone Street in Narragansett. Many, many family and friends came everyday! It was the place to be. She and the family moved from Rhode Island to Connecticut as a Manager then to North Carolina back to Connecticut and finally retired and settled in Florida.
Theresa became very involved with her church St. Theresa Catholic Church. There she made many, many loving and amazing friends. She volunteered her time in the soup kitchen, greeted parishioners before services, assisted distribution of communion, ushered during mass. When the church added a gift shop, Theresa and a couple of her friends designed and put everything together all on their own. Together they created a beautiful gift shop that the church community could enjoy and purchase religious items. Theresa valued and loved every single one of St. Theresa’s Parrish. She talked very fondly and highly of the church and was proud to be there and loved by all.
Theresa enjoyed spending time with all of her family, she was very heavy into ancestry she has researched so much and has gone way back on both her side and her husbands side. She was very excited and proud of her research. Theresa also loved going to Sea World, the beach, and most of all loved watching General Hospital, she never missed an episode since the 70’s.
Theresa is preceded in death by her husband John Holloway Jr., parents; Pasquale Papa and Lucia Morretti Papa; grandparents Francesco Papa and Theresa Digennero Papa, Antonio Moretti and Assunta DeFelice Morretti.
She is survived by her daughters Heather (Holloway) Fries and husband David Fries Jr., Dayna (Holloway) Moon and husband Adam Moon. Son John P Holloway and wife Crystal (Causey) Holloway. Grandchildren Kellie and David Fries III, Brianna and Airon Adams, Ian and Nathan Moon, and great grandson Jacob Adams. Mother in law Evelyn Healy Holloway; brother in laws Dennis, Robert, Gary Holloway; Sister in law Geneva Holloway; and many numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
A celebration of life will be held at Saint Theresa Catholic Church in Belleview, Florida at 10am September 11, 2021

Mom I hold you so close and dear to my heart with dad. I will cherish all the memories of you and hold you close. I will especially remember the moments before you got to sick and the words and conversations we said to each other..I’ll never forget them. I’ll remember all the good times and things we have done over the years. I’ll share what you have taught everyone.. to love and to give and that has been what you have been doing. Your so loved and special. I miss you like crazy it’s hard your not with me anymore.. I know your a beautiful angel above with dad and everyone else..until we see each other again..to love and be loved is all.. I love you always and forever
