Obituary
Theresa C. Frarey, 95, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 4, 2020 at The Villages Regional Hospital in The Villages, Florida. Sadly, due to COVID 19 restrictions, only her eldest son, John, was able to be by her side.
She was born in Northbridge, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Rosanna (Cotnoir) Gentes and Henry Gentes.
Theresa was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and sewing for her family. Her skills as a seamstress enabled her to create wedding gowns for both her daughter and daughter-in-law. In her early forties, she decided to pursue a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics at the University of Rhode Island. This required great dedication since she first had to complete GED requirements. She graduated in 1974, two years after the death of her husband, J. Henry Armstrong. She then began a career as a substitute high school teacher in the Woonsocket, Rhode Island school system.
She was predeceased by her husband Clifford A. Frarey and her siblings, Lillian Pouliot, Harvey Gentes, Rita Valentini, Rene Gentes, Alice Boudreau, and Norman Gentes.
She is survived by her sister, Lucille Lavoie, her son John H. Armstrong and wife Suzanne, her son Denis M. Armstrong and wife Kelly, and her daughter Darlene A. Bailey and husband Steven C; four grandchildren, Wendy Ricci and husband Richard, Nicole Ramos and husband Mark, Christopher Taillon, and Joshua Taillon and wife Raina. Great grandchildren include Monica, Alexander, and Madelynn Ricci, and Ellie and Ryker Ramos.
She is also survived by a step-grandson, Steven W. Bailey and predeceased by a step-granddaughter, Cynthia Rose Bailey.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Rhode Island at a later date.
