Obituary
The Life Celebration for Thomas Arthur Wheeler the ll, 58 will be Saturday,January 23rd at Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place 1 North Causeway New Smyrna Beach, Fl. The family will receive friends starting at 12 noon and the service begins at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Edgewater – New Smyrna Cemetery.
Tom was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 1st, 1958. Tom passed on to be with the Lord on January 16th, 2016 with his mother by his side. Tom moved to New Smyrna Beach with his family in November of 1969. He worked as a stonemason / landscaper with the family business Wheeler & Sons. He then worked for the city of New Smyrna Beach in the Sanitation Department. Also he was a Sawyer at All Star Trust Company in Ormond Beach.
Tommy enjoyed fishing, camping, the outdoors, building models and painting. He was an avid NASCAR fan who attended the Daytona NASCAR races faithfully!! Tommy was very dedicated to God, his country and family. Tommy’s dream was to be a jet pilot with the Air Force, unfortunately a motorcycle accident at age 18 took his ability to enlist. Tommy was a faithful contributor to Wounded Warriors.In place of flowers please donate to the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
He leaves behind, to cherish his memory his son Forrest Asheley, grandson Trevor, mother Henrietta wheeler, siblings -John Wheeler, Anthony(Jeannie)Wheeler,Henry(Crista)Wheeler ,Tamala Zettle, and Teresa Gundelach. He was preceded in death by his father Thomas A. Wheeler, brother Timothy, brother n law Gordon Gundelach, Grandparents – Henry (Pauline) Morris and John (Leanora) Wheeler.
